Good on ya.
I wasn't looking for a comparison, but yeah, that makes some sense. Just translating it and putting in the subs should be pretty quick, I'd think. KFX and typestetting seems like signifignatly more work, and probably time-consuming as well.
For me, I'm a data packrat. I keep stuff for a long time so I'm looking for something that is going to look good if I want to watch it again in a year or two. (Or, in this case, I'll probably watch this ep twice before 7 is released, and maybe one or two of the earlier ones. There's some pretty interesting stuff happening here and there when viewed after later episodes. Since I plan on keeping this around, having something with the karaoke and typesetting is of use to me. Even though I have a LARGE amount of disk storage on line (14TB+ at last count) I still don't necessarily want to keep multiple versions of the same thing, so I go with a version that I want to keep. For series that SS does, I tend to find that's a version that I want to keep.
There are a few fansubs which I've obtained which I really hated. Some with poor grammar. Some where every little potential reference had a screen full of reference notes (Which I obsessively read even when I got the joke, so a 24 minuite episode takes me an hour to watch, and there's a lot of stuff on the screen that I never even got to see. I mean seriously, I can probably figure out that such and such is the name of a department store if it really matters tot he plot!) I tend to avoid those groups in future, and look for alternate subs.
But this has kind of drifted off topic, and my download has finished.
